Growel FISHMAX is a heavy-duty braided fishing line, designed for strong freshwater and saltwater fishing applications. It’s a high-strength, multi-strand line ideal for big fish and tough conditions.
Diameter: 4.0 mm — quite thick, suited for large fish, big game, and heavy-duty setups.
Strength: 40 kg (≈88 lbs) — rated breaking strength of around 40 kilograms, meaning it can handle heavy fish without breaking.
Weave / Strand Format: 28/4 — typically this indicates a braid with 28 strands twisted into 4 bundles(common in high-performance braided lines). Higher strand counts usually mean:
Smoother surface
Better casting distance
Less stretch
Higher abrasion resistance
Type: Braided line (multi-strand) — extremely strong with low stretch compared to monofilament, making it great for heavy cover, deep water, and precise hook-sets.
Saltwater big-game fishing
Heavy freshwater (catfish, pike, muskie)
Jigging and trolling
Deep-sea bottom fishing
Fshing in reefs/structures where abrasion resistance matters
Very high tensile strength — handles big fish well
Low stretch — great sensitivity and hook-setting power
Good abrasion resistance — durable around rocks, wood, and structures
Round & smooth — casts farther and more consistently than monofilament of similar strength
If you’re targeting larger species or fishing in aggressive environments (heavy cover, current, ocean), this kind of braided line is a strong choice. Pair it with a large reel capable of holding thick line and heavy rods to match.
